The Mayor of Palma de Mallorca, Mateu Isern, has recently announced the creation of the new Palma 365 Tourism Foundation.

The aim of the new Foundation is to promote the capital of Mallorca - Palma de Mallorca - as a serious holiday destination.  The announcement came at an event held at Bellver Castle which, itself, is soon to have its own visitors' centre.

The Foundation has put together a highly professional team to manage the promotion of Palma de Mallorca and adapting to the changing demands of the holiday market whether this be domestic or international.  Members include Melia Hotels International, Iberostar, Air Berlin, Air Europa, Palma Aquarium, Hotelbeds, City Sighseeing Bus and Ibacer are just some of them.

Intially the budget has been set at 3.6 million euros and the 3 main aims for the Foundation are to promote the capital, establish an all-year industry and put Palma de Mallorca on the city break map once and for all.
