If you are planning your holidays to the Canary Islands, or Balearic Islands, you will now be getting more euros to your pound.
It has been reported on the BBC website that the pound has hit a fresh 19-month high against the euro and is therefore at its highest level since the immediate aftermath of the financial crisis in November 2008.
According to analysts, the pound is likely to strenghen further against the euro over the summer which suggests you might be better off waiting to buy euros for your summer holiday [although the difference is likely to be small].
As a result, Corona Holidays have noticed over the past few weeks that the "euro-zone" has once again gained popularity with previous popular destinations including Turkey and Egypt who are outside the "euro-zone" falling in popularity with more requests coming through again for Tenerife holidays and holidays to Mallorca in particular.
