It was recently reported by Teletext that children play an important part in deciding where the family goes on holiday with 54% of children aged up to 15 years of age being asked their opinion by parents with 53% confirming that they had a say in what to do whilst on holiday.
One holiday company commented that they recently had a booking where the child even specified the type of aircraft he wanted to go on - the Airbus A380 - and he also picked the Maldives.
It is known that families search for holidays together and it is important that the child is happy on holiday - this leads to happy parents - with children regarding spending time with their parents as the best part of going on holiday. Other priorities for children appear to be enjoing the sunshine, being spoilt, having the chance to go swimming and staying up late.
