Many people are probably getting well and truly fed up with the horrendous snow and freezing temperatures that the UK is currently experiencing - for people who want to escape all of this, the Canary Islands could prove to be the answer.
Skyscanner has advised: "Snow probably doesn't exist in the local language, let alone on the weather forecast."
The site went on to suggest that due to this factor, holidaymakers may wish to book a winter sun trip to the UK's closest warm destination - the Canary Islands.
Winter temperatures on the Canaries are usually in the mid 20s, which stands as a stark comparison to the minus degrees that are being seen in the UK at present.
The Evening Chronicle recently described the popular islands of Tenerife and Lanzarote as "age-old popular winter destinations" that can provide the perfect opportunity for those who missed out on a summer holiday this year because of the recession to catch some rays.
