Watersports enthusiasts looking for a destination that offers "great diving" have been advised to head to
El Hierro.
One of the
Canary Islands,
El Hierro enjoys spectacular weather all year round and is the ideal holiday retreat for those who enjoy exploring the great outdoors, Island Connections reports.
"It offers incredible views, great diving, wonderful natural aspects, fertile valleys, pine-covered mountain ranges, giant beech trees and the famous sabinas, the contorted wind-swept trees which have been adopted as the official emblem of the island," the news provider noted.
El Hierro was praised for its "incredible" dive sites, with the publication pointing out that amateur photographers flock there every year for the Fotosub underwater picture event.
As well as fantastic beaches to explore, the island is home to several other popular attractions, including the Guinea Eco-Museum in
Frontera.
The facility gives holidaymakers the chance to see how some of
El Hierro's earliest settlers would have lived, offering a unique and insightful glimpse into the past.
