Brits flying to the
Canary Islands and other overseas destinations this summer have been offered some advice on how to have a stress-free break.
Members of Priority Pass, an organisation that provides frequent travellers with airport lounge access, have compiled a list of their top tips.
First and foremost, holidaymakers are advised to protect valuable electronic equipment such as laptops and avoid placing them in the hold if possible.
Taking out adequate travel insurance is also highly recommended and, according to Priority Pass members, those who regularly travel abroad should consider opting for multi-trip cover.
Other tips include taking enough medication and packing a spare pair of glasses or contact lenses.
In addition, travellers are advised to plan ahead and shop around for the best currency exchange deals.
A recent poll carried out by American Express revealed that the majority (85 per cent) of Brits plan to spend less on holiday this summer than they have in previous years.
