If you are planning your Canary Islands holidays and are a jazz lover, then you should be heading to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Palma from the 9 to 18 July 2010 to enjoy live shows in various venues.
The Jazz Festival will host many open-air concerts by some top international singers and muscians.
One of the highlights to watch out for includes the tribute to Billie Holiday by Dee Dee Bridgewater to be held at the Auditorio de Tenerife Sala Sinfonica in Tenerife and the Teatro Cuyas in Gran Canaria on the 12 and 13 July.
Head to Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife on the 14 July to listen to Angelique Kidjo [and then Las Palmas, Gran Canaria the following day]. If you prefer the Miguel Zenon Quartet, they will visit the Plaza de Espana on the island of La Palma on the 11 July.
If you are on your Lanzarote or Fuerteventura holiday, then head to Teguise and Puerto del Rosario where you will be entertained by Sharrie Williams and the Wiseguys on the 9 and 10 July.
A total of 38 events will take place including one special "African Night" which will feature artists Angelique Kidjo and Gerald Toto.
