Hikers and nature lovers will be excited to hear that 27 new guides have been produced to show visitors more of
Fuerteventura and offer fascinating information about each area covered.
Luxury holidays to the island may often revolve around the sublime relaxation on offer by lounging around beautiful beaches such as
Playa de Esquinzo, but the island has so much more to offer.
By stepping into the mountains and valleys, travellers can fully appreciate what a rich selection of animals and plants Fuerteventura is blessed with.
To help visitors find their way, the local government on the island has produced a series of 27 guides to trails that people can follow, according to Sunny Fuerteventura.
The website states that areas covered by the guides include
Corralejo, Betancuria, Vallebron and Mount Tindaya.
Some of the walks should only be attempted by people over the age of 12 and may involve leaving in small or large groups depending on the difficulty of the trail.
Recently, Sunny Fuerteventura reported that conservationists on the island celebrated the birth of 46 baby loggerhead turtles.
