
Visiting the recent
Fuerteventura Kite Festival has showcased the appeal of the island, according to travel writers.
Travel experts from the Mirror recently descended on the island to witness the popular kite festival, which has been running since 1987, and wrote that it was not hard to see why Fuerteventura is so popular with holidaymakers.
The annual event takes place on the beach La Playa del Burro, which the paper described as "a magnificent stretch of protected dunes".
Ray Smith has attended the festival for the last 12 years and said that he is devoted to the island.
"I always have a great time here", he added.
The publication describes Fuerteventura's beaches, where the festival takes place, as undoubtedly the island's biggest attraction.
According to Fuerteventura website, the event attracts a growing number of visitors each year from all over the world and usually takes place on the weekend nearest to November 8th.
