The popularity of cruises in the current travel industry has been shown again, according to a travel expert.
With so many cruises drifting through the
Canary Islands and docking at ports such as
Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura, it is no surprise that more people are choosing to embark on this type of 5 star holiday.
Sean Tipton, a spokesperson for ABTA - The Travel Association, pointed out that the cruise is one of the great success stories of the British travel sector.
He added: "We're confident that cruise numbers will continue to grow particularly as many regular cruisers are benefiting from final pensions and the equity in their houses."
Recent research by the Passenger Shipping Association showed that one in every 12 package holidays booked is a cruise.
Last week, the Aida Moon docked into Puerto del Rosaria, according to Sunny
Fuerteventura, which signals the beginning of the new cruise season that runs until April 22nd,.
