Normally people might wait until they get out of the airport before they indulge in their first session of holiday shopping, but a new promotion could change that.
Luxury holidays to the
Canary Islands generally involve a trip to the malls, as well as the enjoyment of the physical beauty on the island.
Shoppers can find anything from jewellery and clothes to local crafts on the island, but travellers should also consider the stores available in Tenerife Sur and
Fuerteventura airports, when they are beginning and ending their 5 star holidays.
A new promotion by the Spanish airport authority AENA means that passengers will be given scratch cards to win discounts on their airport shopping, reports Island Connections.
The campaign is not just running in the Canary Islands - if your travels take you to Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Zaragoza or Palma de Mallorca, you will also be able to collect the scratch cards.
Recently, Transavia announced that it will begin offering flights between Paris and the Canary Islands airports of
Tenerife,
Gran Canaria,
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
