The festive period can be an extremely busy time at airports, with holidaymakers jetting off to destinations such as
Gran Canaria to spend Christmas in the sun.
Digital City has provided some top tips on how to cut down on the amount of time that holidaymakers spend in the airport.
Firstly, it suggests getting there early to avoid long queues and "eliminate travel stress and anxiety". Printing off a boarding card before arriving at the airport can also help to save time.
Keeping identification handy is also advised by the site to ensure that holidaymakers are not left fumbling around for their passport.
Making sure that tourists know the rules about what is permitted in hand luggage can also prevent having to discard items at the airport and the site recommends checking flight regulations with the airline before arriving at the terminal.
EasyJet is expecting this Christmas to be one of the busiest ever, with a record number of passengers predicted to fly from UK airports.
