Those planning to take holidays to the
Canary Islands over the coming months may be interested to learn that the autumn edition of the
Lanzarote Guidebook has now been released.
Produced by long-term island residents, the publication offers travellers the "inside track" on everything from restaurants to places of interest and is a must for visitors, the
Tenerife News reports.
The 96-page book is available to download for free online or can be picked up from tourist information centres, shops and car hire outlets across the island.
Published every quarter, it contains information on Lanzarote's resorts, towns and attractions, as well as detailed maps.
Holidaymakers will also find a section dedicated to "essentials" such as bank opening times, driving advice, duty free allowance details and emergency contact numbers.
A popular year-round destination, Lanzarote is situated 79 miles off the coast of Africa and is home to dozens of popular attractions, including Timanfaya National Park and Jameos de Agua.
