Families planning to jet off to warmer climes this summer have been advised that established destinations such as
Tenerife and
Lanzarote are often the best option.
Ian Bradley, a spokesman for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said that "mature" places tend to cater well for British families.
"Generally speaking there is normally very good capacity to these places, so you can get fairly good prices in terms of accommodation and flights," he explained.
Mr Bradley added that good-value packages tend to be widely available to such destinations.
In related news, figures released by Monarch last week revealed that flights to the island of
Fuerteventura are up 112 per cent compared to last year.
Situated off the coast of Africa, sun-soaked Fuerteventura is home to dozens of golden beaches and a range of popular attractions, such as the Isla de Lobos and the American Star shipwreck.
