It was recently reported that some of Lanzarote's tourist and leisure attractions broke their daily visitor record with just over 13,000 people passing through their doors on Wednesday 20 April.
Even though this was not a bank holiday, the mid-week day say much larger crowds than usual with long queues experienced at some facilities.
Topping the list were Jameos del Agua and the Montana del Fuego in Mount Timanfaya, although the Cueva de los Verdes and Cactus Garden were also very busy.
Apparently the increase in numbers were due to the fact there 3 large cruise ships were in Arrecife at the time.
