Russians are the world's worst holidaymakers, it has been revealed.
According to a survey by the Real Holiday Reports website, they are considered to be the least desirable travellers, with spokesman Gary Hewitt proclaiming that "Russians are the new Germans".
"With many Russians going abroad for the first time since the country started becoming rich, they do not know how to behave and are known as arrogant, rude and greedy," he claimed.
However, Mr Hewitt added that he was surprised at the reaction towards Russian tourists.
Some of those polled said they had seen Russian holidaymakers hide sun loungers in their rooms and consume "almost everything" at all-inclusive buffets.
In related news, it seems that Russians are not the only ones who like to secure a good spot by the pool.
A recent poll by easyJet revealed that the average Brit rises an hour and a half earlier when on holiday in order to lay their claim to a sun lounger.
