Although we have only just seen the back of one festive period, it is never too early to start planning ahead for next year's Christmas break.
Holiday Hypermarket has suggested that the
Canary Islands could be the perfect destination to enjoy a festive holiday.
It could be that freezing temperatures in Britain this year are enough to drive away even the most patriotic of people during Christmas 2010.
"A holiday somewhere warm over Christmas and new year is a great way of making the best use of your limited number of work annual holidays," the site advises.
The Canary Islands - including
Lanzarote,
Gran Canaria and
Tenerife - are a good choice for a Christmas break due to their year-round sunny climate and the fact that popular resorts will be less crowded, the website goes on to add.
Current temperatures on the island of Lanzarote are a sizzling 24 degrees celsius, meanwhile snowy Britain is way into the minuses.
