Now is the best time to bag a bargain holiday to destinations such as
Lanzarote in the
Canary Islands, according to one travel expert.
Dermot Blastland, managing director of TUI Travel UK and Ireland, says that booking early can ensure that holidaymakers get their summer holiday for the best possible price.
Additionally, he advises that those wishing to holiday abroad should be as flexible as possible. Childless couples and those with children who are pre-school age should aim to book outside of the school holidays to get a better deal, he suggests.
Mr Blastland goes on to add that it is vital that holidaymakers book with a financially robust tour operator that is ATOL protected, as this will ensure that no money is lost if the airline or tour company happens to go bust.
For those who want a low-key holiday, Lanzarote could be the perfect choice. The Independent recently recommended the island for those who want to get away for a relaxing break.
