Melia Hotels International has started work on an extensive project in the popular resort of Magalluf in Mallorca with the first phase to be open in June this year.
Known as the Calvia Beach Resort by Sol Hotels will open in summer and integrates 4 hotels : the Sol Antillas, Sol Barbados, the Royal Beach and Majorca Beach with the latter 2 both being renovated.
The Royal Beach will have 2 pools, a modern bar, sports bar and Wave House store. The guest rooms and publc area will also be renovated. The Majorca Beach wlll be changing its name to Beach House Hotel by Sol and will have a Nikki Beach Club providing music and entertainment.
The hotel company is aiming to make it a sustainable destination for the British market.
