The
Canary Islands, which comprise holiday hotspots such as
Tenerife,
El Hierro and
La Palma, have been described as a "fascinating" destination.
According to Cruise Talk Central, the islands have a great deal to offer holidaymakers and should not be overlooked.
With its unique volcanic landscape and array of attractions, it is little wonder that
Lanzarote is one of the most popular Canary Island destinations.
One of the island's must-see attractions is Timanfaya National Park, which is home to some of the most unique flora and fauna in Europe.
"Our tour bus took us around the volcanic lava fields and cone shaped volcanic mountains. We were truly amazed at the expansive area that was completely covered in lava flows and ash," the news provider said.
Over on the island of La Palma holidaymakers will find "several distinct climate zones", as well as well as many plants which are unique to the Canary Islands.
Unlike many European destinations, the Canary Islands enjoy warm temperatures throughout the year thanks to their location off the coast of Africa.
