Anyone lucky enough to be on holiday in
Tenerife this weekend can celebrate San Andres Day in
Puerto de la Cruz.
On November 29th the eve of San Andres Day locals take to the streets for a night of celebration.
According to What's on When, it is customary for locals to tie together old pots and pans and drag them though the streets, before finally congregating at the Plaza de Charco.
As well as making music, the locals also make food for visitors to sample, with chestnuts, fish, gofio dough and wine on offer.
Situated on the northern coast of
Tenerife,
Puerto de la Cruz is one of the island's most popular resorts and welcomes thousands of visitors annually.
