Enjoying the great outdoors on a Canary Island holiday could add a few years to your life, it has been claimed.
According to search engine Skyscanner, the Spanish have one of the world's longest life expectancy rates and it could be down to the active lifestyle and glorious weather the country boasts.
"Lots of fresh, regional produce and an outdoor lifestyle is what keeps the Spanish living for so long and the generally pleasant climate means that a healthy alfresco lifestyle is the norm," the website said.
Life expectancy in Spain is 80.9 years, compared to 79.4 years in the UK.
Meanwhile, those keen to fill their lungs with fresh air and enjoy some great activities this year may wish to consider a break in Tenerife.
