Taking place in Tenerife later this year, the 2009 Aguaviva Festival is not to be missed.
The event gets underway on June 20th and aims to raise awareness about protecting the oceans of the world.
With more than 30 exciting day and evening events, Aguaviva will feature something to appeal to the whole family.
Visitors will have the chance to take part in dance workshops and attend informative exhibitions.
Diving courses will also be held over the course of the festival, as well as several performances from renowned musicians.
Other events taking place in the
Canary Islands this summer include Ironman
Lanzarote,
Maspalomas Gay Pride and the 2009 Windsurfing and Kiteboarding World Cup.
Gran Canaria will also be hosting this year's World Windsurfing Championships, which take place throughout the month of July.
