Nothing makes British travellers more annoyed than having to pay hidden airline charges, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by Skyscanner found that 24 per cent of people dislike having to pay extra for luggage and booking with a credit card.
Other annoying aspects of air travel include having to queue at security, with 23 per cent of respondents claiming that this makes them angry.
A further 11 per cent said their fellow passengers are the worst part of travelling.
Commenting on the findings, Rob Innes, Skyscanner's head of marketing, said: "A transparent pricing system would win more favour with air travellers and avoid them feeling ripped off when they arrive at the checkout page."
In other travel news, it has been suggested that the
Canary Islands represent excellent value for money.
Speaking to the Travel Trade Gazette earlier this week, Ignacio Vasallo, director of the Spanish Tourist Office, said there are dozens of top-quality attractions to visit, such as
Tenerife's Siam Park.
