
Holidaymakers looking to sample some local delicacies on their next trip to
Tenerife can head to the new farmers' market in Adeje.
The market opened one month ago and has so far proved to be a roaring success, Tenerife News reports.
Open from 8am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, the market offers a wide variety of local produce, including cheeses, meat, biscuits and cakes.
Visitors can also snap up some pretty souvenirs, with stalls selling wine and traditional lace items.
The market comprises 55 stalls and plans are also in place to open a cafe with outside seating.
In other Tenerife news, the programme for this year's Puerto Carnival has been unveiled, with dozens of exciting events scheduled to take place.
The carnival commences on February 8th and highlights include the election of the carnival queen and a fancy dress contest.
