Plans are in place to build a new visitor centre in the area of Santiago del Teide in Tenerife, it has been revealed.
According to News in the Sun, the centre will provide visitors with information about Teno Rural Park and its walking networks.
In addition, there will be a film projection room showing features about the local area and its history.
"As well as providing lots of information for visitors, the centre's location makes it an ideal starting place for hikers to begin their treks", the news provider said.
Located in the north of the island, Teno Park is home to lush vegetation and many species of animals, including ospreys, according to Web
Tenerife UK.
The park is relatively isolated and holidaymakers venturing there will have the opportunity to glimpse examples of traditional Canarian architecture and village life.
