
Officials in Tenerife have given the green light to a restoration project for the San Miguel motorcross circuit in Tenerife.
According to
Tenerife News, the circuit is the only one of its kind on the island and attracts thousands of sports fans annually.
"It has already hosted competitions at International level with well-known drivers taking part and in March, the Spanish motorcross champion will be coming to use the new circuit for practice," the newspaper said.
Over 200,000 euros will be invested in improving the attraction, with plans to introduce a new security system, a cafe and new bathroom facilities.
Public areas will also benefit from a makeover and a new sprinkler system will be installed.
