Recently, 13,000 tourists who arrived into Tenerife South Airport were provided with a special welcome by representatives of the centre for tourism initiatives in south Tenerife.
The campaign actively encourages residents to welcome those who visit the island and includes trips for young school children to establishments linked to the tourism trade such as hotels, airports, attraction park, to find out about possible career opportunities in the trade.
Tourists arriving from all over Europe were greeted by members of the organisation in traditional costume with tapas of local foods and wines as they came into the arrivals hall.
