Tenerife is set to come to life over the weekend during a celebration of stories from across the world.
The small town of
Los Silos will host the International Story Festival, which will take place from December 4th to December 8th.
Book lovers can feed their love of literature by meeting with professional authors at storytelling sessions and even if they don't understand Spanish, there are plenty of events that will not require any translating.
Most of the events at the festival are free of charge.
Tenerife Matters describes the town's Plaza Nuestra Senora de la Luz as the "perfect fairytale backdrop for one of Tenerife's more spellbinding little fiestas".
Los Silos is situated on the northwest coast of Tenerife and lies at the foot of the seven million year old Teno Mountains.
According to Real Tenerife, the town is picturesque with narrow cobbled streets, traditional architecture and pretty plazas.
