The La Siesta Hotel is situated around 300 m from the sea, the promenade and Playa de las Vistas beach. The large main beach of Playa de Troya can be found about 800 m away. Countless shopping and entertainment venues in the town centre of Playa de las Americas are within walking distance of the hotel, or may easily be reached by making use of the regular local bus service. A bus stop is situated approximately 500 m from the hotel. The international airport, Reina Sofía [Tenerife South], is approximately 15 km away.

Facilities at the La Siesta Hotel:
The 9,000 m² pool and garden area at the La Siesta Hotel features a heated saltwater pool for adults, a separate children's pool, a poolside snack bar and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Relaxation options include a spa area (fees apply) with a sauna, a steam room, a hot tub, a gym [which offers caridovascular and resistance weights], and a massage service. In addition, leisure activities include volleyball, darts, and, for additional charges, billiards, table tennis and tennis. An entertainment programme provides additional variety. The Magic Park for children from 2-9 years has slides, ball pools, game consules and arts and crafts, and is supervised by an entertainer and will always be accompanied by the parents; children over 9 years have a second area called the Game Park, with a wide variety of activities including arcade games, internet access, table football and pool tables (some activities payable on site).

The modern and tastefully designed en suite standard rooms at the La Siesta Hotel are air-conditioned and equipped with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a minibar, a sitting area, a hire safe and a balcony or a terrace. Some rooms have views over Mount Teide. The superior class rooms [Club Alexandre] offer a superior service for guests who are looking for that added touch of luxury. They are the best rooms in the hotel and are more spacious and additionally include a view of the pool area, (rooms with a double whirpool available on request and for an added fee), access to the health spa daily (only one thermal circuit per person at day), fruit and water in room on arrival as well as toiletries, a bathrobe and slippers. It is also possible to book rooms with a connecting door. The rooms adapted for disabled clients have roll-in showers.

"El Drago" restaurant
This is the main restaurant and is spacious and light offering a varied breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. The hotel chefs also do show cooking at mealtimes, ranging from fresh pasta to specialities from the grill. Gentlemen must respect the night dress code and not wear short trousers.

"El Bohio" snackbar
This is located on an island in the centre of the swimming pools, and offers a wide range of salads, snacks and sandwiches along with drinks, refreshments, juices, ice creams and fruit.

"Bar Salon" piano bar
Has direct access to the terrace and view over the swimming pools. Bar Salon serves teas and coffees, or alternatively you can enjoy cocktails while listending to live piano music.

Themed evenings
Every week, La Siesta Hotel hosts themed evenings which showcase the cuisines of different nationalities and some of the evenings take place in the hotel gardens under the pergola. On the Canarian evening, guests can enjoy typical Canarian dishes such as Canarian potatoes with mojo picon, rockfish a la canaria and flambe banana. On the Italian evening, guests can enjoy a wide range of risottos, penne pasta a la matriciana and tiramisu. There is even a barbeque evening with a wide range of superb barbequed meat and a great show.

This air-conditioned La Siesta Hotel was completely renovated in 2004 and includes a total of 282 rooms spread over 3 floors, of which 132 are standard rooms and 150 are superior class. Facilities include a substantial lobby with lifts, a currency exchange desk, a safe, and a reception desk open around the clock. Furthermore, there is a lounge, a hairdresser with experienced hairdressers and beauticians, a café, a cosy bar and a restaurant. Business guests may make use of the conference facilities and the internet connection for an additional fee.
