Location of the Matchani Gran Farmhouse:

Originally built in 1800, the Matchani Gran Farmhouse is located approximately 10 minutes drive from Mahon and a few kilometers from the village of Sant Climent. There is a bus service from Sant Climent to Mahon, or Cala'n Porter. The village of San Climent is a 15 minute stroll, where you will find several bars and restaurants, banks, a chemist, a casino bar and the famous jazz night every Tuesday. The nearest beach of Binidali is 3 minutes away by car.

Facilities at the Matchani Gran Farmhouse:
Guests of the Matchani Gran Farmhouse have access to a swimming pool and sunbathing terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The owners guarantee an extremely informal, relaxed and stress-free atmosphere, especially as we are unable to accept children. Only residents and their friends are able to utilise the facilities and, as the Matchani Gran is not open to the public, this ensures complete privacy.

Rooms at the Matchani Gran Farmhouse:
Matchani Gran Farmhouse comprises 10 rooms, 8 of which have en-suite bathrooms while the 'Carriage House' and the 'West Room' both have en-suite shower rooms. All bathrooms have shampoo, bath gel and hairdryers.

North 1 ,2 and 3:
These three rooms are on the North side of the house, overlooking the countryside. Each room has its own 220 square foot patio, separated by planters with a table and chairs for relaxing enjoying the views. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, and air-conditioning (hot/cold). North 1 and North 3 offers the choice between twin beds or double bed (king size), and North 2 has a double bed.
South 1, 2 , 3 and 4:
These rooms are accessed at the front of the house through a spacious, airy patio. This, together with the porch offers guests a relaxing, shaded sitting area. All of them have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and air-conditioning (hot/cold). All of them offer the choice between twin beds or double bed (king size) while South 2 and South 4 each has a third bed. South 4 is situated in the West Wing of the house and has ceilings reaching 13ft and overlooks the lawn and gardens at the front of the house.
The Carriage House:
This room is situated on the edge of the wood and was originally used to store the Sunday Carriage. It has a en-suite shower room and offers the choice between twin beds or double bed (king size). In summer months the room keeps a comfortable temperature because of its fan and air-conditioning (hot and cold). The private south facing patio, with loungers and tables, offers total seclusion amongst the trees and cacti which surround it.
The West 1 and 2:
Both have their own entrance at the side of the house and offer the choice between twin beds or double bed (king size). West 2 has an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan and air-conditioning with a separate shady furnished patio. West 1 was originally used for smoking sausages and still has the antique wall oven, it has an en-suite shower room, ceiling fan and air-conditioning.

Meals at the Matchani Gran Farmhouse:
The owners of the Matchani Gran Farmhouse serve a full continental breakfast, consisting of melon, fruit, fruit juices, yoghurts, cereals and preserves. Fresh pastries are purchased daily and placed on your table for your convenience. Also cooked freshly for you are scrambled eggs, poached or boiled eggs, hot brown or white toast, a selection of herbal teas, freshly ground coffee and English tea. As there is an honesty system at the bar, guests may help themselves and then record your drinks in personal log books.

The tap water at Matchani Gran Farmhouse is perfect to drink as the property has it's own well with an ultra violet system and charcoal filters. In 2010 the owners renewed all the beds of Matchani Gran and added memory foam mattresses. Customers have access to 1000 paperback books, an ironing board and iron. All the guestrooms have climate control hot or cold air and ceiling fans,tea and coffee making facilities with a selection of teas and biscuits. The towels are changed daily and pool towels are provided, which can also be taken to the beach.
