The location of this rural posada is a paradise for nature lovers. In the heart of the Sierra de Aracena & Picos de Aroche Natural park in the northwest of the province of Huelva, [90km inland from the Atlantic coast and 45km from the Portuguese border] right out in the country, and with views all around. Approximately 1.5km from the village of Alajar and about 750m above sea level on a 10 hectare farm covered principally with cork and edible chestnut trees.

The Posada is catalogued by the Tourist Office of the Andaluz Regional Government as a "Superior Category Holiday Home" although it is operated as a small hotel.

There are 2 sitting rooms - one comfortable and spacious and the other more intimate, a dining room, 2 covered terraces and a swimming pook with a sun terrace. There is broadband internet connection via direct satellite and WIFI coverage, and central heating / air conditioning throughout the building.

There are 7 double rooms, all with en suite bathrooms, which are spacious and carefully decorated.

5 rooms are 34m square each with a king sized double bed

1 room of 34m square with two single beds [this room is also equipped for special requirements of handicapped guests.

1 room of 44m square with king size double bed [this room is also equipped for special requirements of handicapped guests.

All rooms have full bathroom with double basins and separate showers and baths, private covered terrace, sitting area, flat screen TV.

There are 2 rooms and intimate sitting room so as to make a suite with either 1 or 2 bedrooms and a sitting room.

Meals at the Posada Finca la Fronda:
Breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, home made bread, local honey and jams and other typical products from the Sierra. Hot English breakfast is optional.

Food in the form of plates of Spanish ham [located just round the corner from the most famous Jabugo area], local cheeses, sandwiched and basic hot dishes.

There is a self-service bar.

Considerable effort has been made in incorporating the building into the surrounding environment, using rustic exposed brickwork, aged tiles and warm colours. The building is U-shaped with a typical Andaluz central patio with a pond with fish and orange trees.
