Castelo do Arade

Ferragudo's fort stands at the entrance to the village's harbour, overlooking Praia Grande beach and the Arade River.

Standing as it does at the end of the beach, it has been commented that it looks like an over-sized sandcastle.

The fort is now privately owned therefore not open to the public.
