Fenway Park

Fenway Park
Fenway Park is one of the most legendary complexes in the country. It is the home of the Boston Red Sox and was opened on 20th April 1912. Fenway Park echoes with the sound of great players such as Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Jummy Collins, Joe Cronin and many more.

The Red Sox were not always located at Fenway Park. Before the completion date of the park in 1902, the Red Sox were located at the old Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds. In 1911, owner John I Taylor sold the team at the same time he developed land bordered by Brookline Avenue, Jersey Streetm Van Ness Street and Landsdown Street into a larger baseball stadium.

Ballpark tours are available of the Stadium where you can see some of the famous park attractions such the "Green Monster", the nickname for the thirty-seven foot, two inch [11.3m] left field wall, used as a popular target for right-handed hitters.
