Built between 1616 and 1662, Concatedral de San Nicolás de Bari is a Baroque-style Communion chapel with a beautiful main front and stands in the oldest part of the city. The altar is also Baroque and is located in the apse of the central nave. The exterior of the cathedral is sombre with extraordinary greatness. The steps of the high altar are made of marble from Genoa, Italy.
