Cala Finestrat is a small resort located just over the headland, at the end of the Poniente promenade. It is ideal for families seeking a much more peaceful and relaxing holiday, yet is close at hand to it’s vibrant neighbour
Benidorm, approximately 3km away.
Cala Finestrat has a small selection of shops and restaurants, plenty of bars and cafes with some offering entertainment. The resort has a small sandy, blue flag beach ideal for families with young children as the sand gently slopes into the sea. Even wading out 15 metres, the sea is only just over 1 metre deep. The larger beaches of Playa Levante and Playa Poniente are within easy reach, either by using the bus service or taxis on offer.
The theme parks of Terra Mítica, Aqualandia, Mundomar and Terra Natura are all popular attractions nearby, as is the golf course of Real de Faula Golf Club. Other golf courses are within easy reach in well under an hour.
In June, Cala Finestrat is home to the festival of St Juan. It is worth a visit, families gather on the beach with picnics and barbeques.
The town still retains its Spanish atmosphere and offers some excellent seafood restaurants along with outdoor bars and cafes.
