Vergel Safari Park is located between the resorts of Oliva and Denia, just beyond Ondara - approximately an hour’s drive from Benidorm. The park is a great day out during the summer and is especially popular with families. Visitors are able to drive through the park amongst its inhabitants, which include lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars and wolves. The park does have areas where visitors can walk freely to look at animals such as zebras, monkeys and ostriches to name but a few. If you prefer a ‘safer’ option the park also has areas with animals such as pigs, ponies, dolphins and seals. The park consists of mainly African species but also has a bird aviary and reptile house. The park is great fun and offers amuzing seal and parrot shows as well as large children’s play area, go-karts and a mini-train.
