The small resort of El Albir is located in the area of Alfaz del Pí, between the major resorts of

Benidorm. El Albir is ideally suited for those who prefer a more relaxed holiday away from the busy resort and beaches of
Benidorm.
El Albir’s pebble beach is called Playa del Racó del l’Albir and is approximately 590 metres long and has continuously been awarded the European Union Blue Ribbon award each year since 2001. The beach side promenade, the Paseo de Las Estrellas has Hollywood style plaques honouring the stars who have won awards at Albir's film festival and is a focal point for visitors. Holidaymakers can either enjoy sunbathing in the average 20 degree Celsius sunshine or try snorkelling, swimming or sailing. El Albir also has a discreet nudist beach. Larger beaches can be found in nearby
Benidorm or
Calpe.
El Albir has plenty of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants, all with a more laid back atmosphere and fair prices. If you want livelier nightlife why not try the bustling resort of
Benidorm, which is a short drive away. The old town is a fascinating place to visit with narrow streets, monuments, murals and quaint old churches.
Calpe is also a must, especially for those who enjoy the more traditional style of Spanish cooking. Surrounding Albir is the Sierra Helada (meaning Frozen Mountain), which is a protected nature reserve.
