This statue was discovered in 1882 during excavations and was cut into 6 pieces in the 1950s to move it to Central Cairo, where it stood for another 50 years. The statue was then moved to a new home near the Pyramids, as they belived the 3,200 year old statue was being polluted. It weighs 83 tonnes and stands at 11 metres high [36 feet].
