FIGUERETAS TRAVEL GUIDE

Figueretas [or Es Figueral] is located between
Playa d’en Bossa and
Ibiza Town and although being smaller, is more sophisticated [although it tends to merge with Playa d’en Bossa]. It has a lovely promenade running along its length where you will find bars, cafes and restaurants to suite just about anyone. Figuerteas is divided into two - the roads reaching the beaches of Figueretas and S’Aigua Blanca are separated by a few hundred metres of undrivable sand and cliffs.
S’Aigua Blanca lies to the north, its name reflecting the fact that the water is white as it laps the shore due to the strong and frequent winds that blow across the open bay. The beach itself has a darker sand than normal and has become popular with nudists. There are few facilities here, but there is a good bar.
To the south of Figueretas, off the headlands of Punta d’en Valls, is Illa de Tagomago. There are frequent boat trips to the uninhabited island which has retained its wild character. The beaches are too small for serious sunbathing, but the swimming is superb and the scuba diving excellent.
Avenida de España is the main shopping street in Figueretas where there are supermarkets, boutiques and souvenir shops. At the end of this road is Vara de Rey, the main square and the beginning of Ibiza Town. Near the park in Canaries Road is a mini-market selling fruits and vegetables, clothes and souvenirs.
