An old bridge - below Puig de Missa - sits beside the modern crossing that takes the main road over the river. Though there is some dispute over its true origins, most experts agree that the bridge was built by the Romans. So strong was this belief that it is said that many local declined to cross the bridge after nightfall. With its elegant arches, warm stone and the mass of reeds and oleander close by, it is certainly very picturesque. Nearby a walkway has been built, complete with lights and welcome shady trees.
