The Botanical Gardens are conveniently located within minutes walk of the Leaning Tower. The Gardens were founded in the 1540s and it is claimed to be the oldest botanical gardens in Europe.
Visitors can enjoy plant species from around the world and soak up the relaxing atmosphere. The gardens are now part of Pisa University and can be seen on a guided tour or in your own leisure. During the summer months, there are on-site theatrical performances.
