Costa Teguise has several different beach areas that feel quite separate from each other. Beaches in Costa Teguise:Playa del Jabillo, Playa Bastian and Playa del AnclaThe 3 beaches are located south of central Costa Teguise and are small, breezy bays of sand and shingle backed by hotels and good quality residential houses.
Playa de las CucharasThis is the main beach and is a long, sandy stretch with gardens, restaurants and hotels behind and is the main area for windsurfing and watersports.
Playa de los CharcosLocated at the northern end of the resort, Los Charcos is a smaller sandy bay protected by breakwaters.
During the evenings you will find many bars, some of which offer entertainment, especially around Playa de las Cucharas, Plaza Pueblo Marinero and Toca shopping centre on Avenida de las Islas Canarias. Bar-restaurants are very popular late-night entertainment venues with stage acts such as drag shows or tribute bands. If you want to venture further afield, then take the short taxi ride to nearby
Arrecife [5km] or
Puerto del Carmen [16km] where you will be spoiled for choice for evening entertainment.
Costa Teguise Holidays - What to do in Costa Teguise:GolfThere is an unusual 18-hole golf course in Costa Teguise Golf Club which is located on the northern edge of town and designed by John Harris in 1978 and is open to visitors of all abilities. Lessons and equipment hire are available. This is one of two golf course in Lanzarote and is a beautiful sight among cacti, palms and large geraniums against the backdrop of the sea and sky.
Lanzarote AquariumThis is the largest acquarium in the Canary Islands with more than 30 tanks containing native and tropical sea creatures. The biggest draws are the shark tank and underwater tunnel - but there are also "touching pools" where adults and children can handle sea cucumbers, starfish, sea urchins and small crabs.

Parque Aqua Lanza [Aqua Park]Just follow the signs that lead away from the seafront to this enjoyable water park at the back of the town, next to the golf course. With colourful water slides and flumes, gentle rides for the toddlers, more thrilling options for teenagers and adults, a bouncy castle, a pool and sunbathing area. The water is not heated and can be cold during the winter months. There are cafes and a gift shop on the site.

TrekkingCanary Trekking based in Costa Teguise puts together guided walks not just for the immediate area, but for all the different types of terrain around the island.
WindsurfingCourses at all levels are available in several languages and offer the International Basic Windsurf Certificate along with board rentals. "Windsurf Paradise" is based on the beach at Las Cucharas but you may need to book in advance.

Craft MarketDon't miss out on the nearby popular Sunday market in Costa Teguise - an explosion of stalls and traders selling homemade African goods and Spanish handicrafts such as jewellery, pottery, stone-carvings and colourful souvenirs. Plaza Pueblo Marinero is the focal point of an enjoyable crafts market every Friday evening. Many of the stallholders can also be seen at the Sunday market.
