Paguera - also known as Peguera - is a beach resort popular with German tour operators and was the first resort in Mallorca to have its own artificial beach. Once on the main road from Palma to Andraitx, it has become much more peaceful since the construction of a bypass and the opening of a seafront promenade.

Just outside Paguera is Cala Fornells, a chic resort of terracotta houses set around a pretty cove. Nearby Camp de Mar is a fast-growing resort where racing driver Michael Schumacher and model Claudia Schiffer both have homes.
