First built in 1778 for the Count of Torre-Saura, Ciudadela’s only surviving windmill fell into disrepair until it was restored in the 1960s. A winding 73 steps lead to the tower, where you can get a close-up look at the machinery and a view of the city’s rooftops through the sails. The square opposite - Plaza Alfons III, is commonly known as Plaza de Ses Palmeres because of the palm trees which grown there.
