Los Realejos is located in the north of Tenerife with easy access to
Puerto de la Cruz. It is a true Canarian town with a strong agricultural base - mainly in bananas. Playa del Socorro is the nearest beach to Los Realejos and it is a blue flag beach of black sand [be careful when the sea if rough as it can be dangerous].

Originally two separate villages, the town has an upper and lower centre. Los Realejos Alto is the location of the earliest Christian church on Tenerife dating from 1498 - the Church of Santiago Apostol. Head down to Los Realejos Bajo and to its historic old quarter from some fine examples of 16th and 17th century housing lining its steep streets and surroung the little Plaza de la Iglesia.
