Set against a dramatic backdrop of the famous Los Gigantes cliffs, the hotel is just a short walk [100m] from the beach of black volcanic sand. The beach itself is 150m long and 50m wide and there is access for disabled visitors and has been awarded a Blue Flag and has lifeguards in attendance.

There are 2 swimming pools at the Be Live Playa La Arena Hotel, a separate children's pool with water slides, a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols as well as a pool/ snack bar with roofed terrace in the outdoor complex. Various activities are on offer providing entertainment including, table tennis, water ball and (once a week) a diving taster course in the swimming pool. Furthermore, guests may play minigolf, bocce and, for an additional charge, billiards and tennis.
