Playa Paraiso is a purpose built resort and is part of the district of Adeje on the west coast of Tenerife, midway between the resorts of
Playa de las Americas and
Callao Salvaje and only 20km from Reina Sofia Airport [Tenerife South]. The resort's beach is really a small rocky part of the coastline. However, there is a fantastic saltwater lido which more than makes up for the lack of beach in Playa Paraiso. If you are looking for watersports and a sandy beach then you really need to go to Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos.

There's a good selection of hotels to be found in this small resort, such as the exclusive 5 star
Roca Nivaria Gran Hotel which is in the centre right by the sea, and the 4 Star
Bahia Principe Tenerife Hotel which overlooks the sea with views over to the island of

Just to the north of Playa Paraiso, you will find some genuine Spanish fish restaurants in the harbours of Playa San Juan and Acala. Being a relative small resort, the range and number of shops around Playa Paraiso is limited although you will not find it too difficult to get everyday holiday essentials. The beach here is of black sand.
In Playa Paraiso you will find a popular showroom of artificial pearl jewellery with refreshments and pearl-stringing demonstrations taking place. “Tenerife Pearl” is located on the outskirts of Playa Paraiso and it is open between 09:00-21:00. Tenerife Pearl is part of the World Pearl Group and is home to over 2 million pearls. Take a look at their exhibition where you can discover the world of pearl, or you can take a virtual tour in their multimedia presentation.

Steak House :
Great for candlelit dinners, this is a romantic setting with a view of the street and serves great steaks, including Roquefort, pepper and Diane steaks. There is also a good selection of wine and beers. Located opposite the Oasis Paraiso Hotel.
Playa de las Americas is only 10 minutes
away by taxi. So if it's a busy nightlife
