If you are planning a holiday in Cala Ratjada, Mallorca, the following information may help by giving you an overview on the resort and help you in selecting from our range of accommodation.
Cala Ratjada [translating to Bay of Rays] is a fishing port on Mallorca’s eastern tip, surrounded by fine beaches and pretty coves, and is a popular summer resort with windsurfing, snorkelling and numerous discos.
A walk of about 2km from the harbour leads through pine woods and crosses a headland to the lighthouse at Punta de Capdepera, the easternmost point on Mallorca.
There are also several good beaches within easy reach. Son Moll is the towns beach and is often crowded. For more isolated beaches, head north to the cove of Cala Gat or the broad sweep of Cala Agulla.
Another reason for coming here is the make the day trip to Menorca. Boats leave each morning for the Menorcan city of Ciutadella, with its cathedral and harbour side fish restaurants.
